8.7 - Spiral Dive Recovery

Lesson Objective
During this lesson, the learner will recognize and safely recover from a spiral dive. The learner will distinguish between a spiral dive and a spin.

Content
- Steep-banked descending turn, allow the airspeed to increase
- As the airspeed approaches maneuvering speed, recover by relaxing back pressure on the stick, and reducing bank angle.
Completion Standard
The learner will recognize and recover from a spiral dive and distinguish between a spin and a spiral dive.
