Lesson Objective

During this lesson, the learner will learn to turn to a precise heading.

Content

• small bank angles for small heading changes
• larger heading changes require more bank
• Rolling out to a specific cardinal direction or compass heading

Completion Standard

The learner will be able to maintain an appropriate rate of turn to a specified heading within 10 degrees, using smooth and coordinated control movements, while maintaining a desired airspeed within 10 knots.
