Required for Private: 14 CFR 61.105(b)(11)
During this lesson, the learner learn what it feels like to ve in a fully-developed spin and how to recover from the spin. The previous lesson only showed the situations that develop into a spin; this lesson actually has a fully-developed spin.
Note: Practicing spin training is not required for solo, private, commercial glider ratings. However, it is required for the instructor rating. Knowledge of spins and spin recovery techniques are required by 14 CFR 61.105(b)(11) for private pilot and above.

The learner will be able to explain the events leading to a spin, and can consistently recognize and recover from an incipient spin.
