Lesson Objective
During this lesson, the learner will use a side slip to correct for an alignment ereror that the instructor will intentionally create on final.

Pre-Solo pilot (Student Pilot and Transition Pilots): 14 CFR 61.87(i)(17)(Slips to a landing)
Private Pilot Test Candidate: 14 CFR 61.107(b)(6)(iv)(Launches and landings — specifically to address crosswind correction components)
Content
- The instructor will fly your final off to one side of the runway. You will use the sideslip to correct the alignment error.
Completion Standard
The learner will correctly use a side slip to align the glider with the runway while maintaining the desired airspeed within +10/-5 knots.
