Lesson Objective
During this lesson, the learner will learn the appropriate way to hand over controls to the instructor, and vice-versa.
Regulatory Requirement
Pre-Solo pilot (Student Pilot and Transition Pilots): None
Private Pilot Test Candidate:
- 14 CFR 61.107(b)(6)(ii) (specifically covered under the "Passenger Briefing" task in the PTS, which mandates defining the positive exchange of flight controls
- 14 CFR 61.105(b)(7) (positive exchange of flight controls is an FAA-wide safety directive under general operating rules).
